At OD call, Niles cops find child in ‘deplorable’ quarters

Niles police responding to an overdose victim found the woman’s 9-year-old son living in what officers described as deplorable conditions.

The woman, found lying on the floor, was transported to Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, reported 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

The child was left in the care of his grandmother. Trumbull County Children Services is investigating the case.
