Motorcyclist killed

NILES

Andre Elliot, 29, of Niles was killed when his motorcycle collided with a semi-tractor trailer around 3 p.m. Friday on Interstate 76 in Guilford Township, Medina County, about 20 miles west of Akron, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Elliot’s motorcycle was forced off I-76 when the semi moved into his lane near the state Route 3 entrance ramp, causing the motorcycle to go out of control and overturn when it was hit by the semi. The semi driver, Matthew McRedmond, 49, of Little Falls, N.Y., was not injured. The patrol said alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
