UPDATE | City PD awaiting coroner's office to confirm ID of motorcycle crash victim

YOUNGSTOWN — Police say they are waiting for the Mahoning County Coroner's Office to confirm the identity of a man who was killed about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of the Himrod Avenue Expressway after his motorcycle crashed.

Investigators said the motorcycle was traveling east when the driver lost control.

The accident is still under investigation. The driver died at the scene.
