Judge says man accused of deadly threat must continue to wear monitoring equipment

WARREN

Alan Jordan of Laird Avenue Southeast, who police accuse of making threats against a Warren city school Feb. 2, will have to continue to wear electronic monitoring equipment.

Jordan, 33, who is charged with telecommunications harassment and making false alarms, was scheduled for a hearing in the case Monday, but it was reset to July 24 before Judge Terry Ivanchak of Warren Municipal Court.

Judge Ivanchak, however, entered a remark in the case file denying Jordan’s request to no longer wear an electronic device that monitors his movements while he’s on house arrest.

That has been a condition of his bond since he was released from the county jail in February.

He also must not travel near any Warren city schools.

Police said Jordan posted a message on his Facebook page warning other parents to control their kids or he would commit a shooting at the school his child attends.

He said the shooting would make the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting spree that killed 20 children and six educators “look like a day at Disney.”

The post said Jordan was upset about some trouble his child had been having at school.
