Struthers woman arrested for being disorderly after city accident

YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said a Struthers woman late Tuesday was cited for disorderly conduct after she refused to allow a police officer to talk to the driver of a car that was in an accident at Market Street and West Auburndale Avenue.

Reports said when officers arrived about 10:15 p.m. the driver of the car and her entire family were lying on the ground and the family members refused to back away so police could check on the driver.

Ashley Adams of Hawthorne Street in Struthers stood up and began swearing at an officer, and would not allow the officer to talk to the driver, reports said.

Reports said when the officer placed her in handcuffs for disorderly conduct, she went to the ground and refused to get up. She had to be “escorted” to a cruiser, reports said, where she signed her citation and was released with a court date of today.

Reports did not mention any details of the accident or the condition of the driver.
