SENIOR CITIZENS

Freetimers monthly breakfast will not take place Tuesday due to the July 4th holiday. All YSU retirees are invited to come to the breakfast on Aug. 2 at Davidson’s on Route 62 in Cornersburg.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will not meet for their monthly meeting on Friday at Lowellville City Hall conference room due to the holiday. Next meeting will be at noon Aug. 4 at the annual picnic at Lowellville City Hall. Invite a guest to this meeting. Any illness or death, notify Mary Mascarella, sunshine chairwoman, 330-536-8748.

Niles SCOPE Senior Center, 14 East State St., is taking reservations now for the following trips: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 13 the bus departs for Columbiana for local shopping followed by dinner and a show, returning at 4 p.m. On Thursday, August 3, Mountaineer Casino. Friday, Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. the bus will depart for the Ohio Playhouse Theater for “A Christmas Carol.” Lunch at Massimo da Milano, returning at approximately 5 p.m.

Upcoming activities for senior citizens are published Sunday. Please submit the information to the Society Department by 5 p.m. Wednesday.
