JULY

4 — Struthers School Foundation 5K and Kristy Taaffe Kids Fun Run. Races start at the corner of 5th St and Rita Drive in Struthers. Online registration can be done at www.RunSignUp.com on or before July 3. The 5K race is $18. Race-day registration cost is $20. The half-mile Kids Fun Run is $5. T-shirt and medal for Kids Fun Run are only guaranteed if registered by June 27. Race application can be brought or mailed to 99 Euclid Ave., Struthers, Ohio 44471 in care of: Struthers School Foundation 5K, no later than June 25. Checks should be made out to the Struthers School Foundation. Race-day registration and packet pick up is open between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at 960 Fifth St., Struthers (Pizza Joe’s). A one-hour race time limit will be enforced due to parade starting at noon. Awards will be given to the top male and female 5K finishers in each age group.

4 — The 43rd annual Firecracker 4-mile run and half-mile kids run is set at the Canfield Village Green. Kids run begins at 8:15 a.m. and the 4-mile run begins at 8:30 a.m. Early registration is available at the website www.secondsoleohio. com or by calling 330-758-8708. Price for the Kids run is $10 with shirt and $2 without the shirt. Cost for the 4-mile run is $16 through July 3 and $20 on race day at 7 a.m. For more information, email josh@secondsoulohio.com.

8 — Dan Dunlap Memorial 5K Run a& Kids Half-Mile Fun Run. The event is in memorial of former Pymatuning Valley High School and Ohio University All-American runner Dan Dunlap. The course will be the PV cross country course through the Pymatuning Local Schools Campus, 5571 State Route 6 West, Andover. Entry fee is $15 in advance or $20 on race day. The 5K race begins at 9 a.m. The kids run is $10. The half-mile race begins at 8:30 a.m. Call Ricky Watters at 419-230-7786 for more information or to register.

AUGUST

2 — 19th annual Clipper Cross Country Series at Columbiana High School. Race begins at 6 p.m. Other dates are Aug. 9, Aug. 16 and Aug. 23. Entry fee is $6 per race. To register, visit the website www.secondsoleohio. For more information, call 330-758-8708 or email josh@second soleohio.com.
