INSURANCE

The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors recently recognized Bill Shapiro of Paige & Byrnes Insurance of Warren with a certificate in honoring his 30 years of participation in advanced education.

John B. Taylor, CIC, of Paige & Byrnes Insurance has also been recognized by The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors for his 35 years of committed professional leadership and advanced knowledge.

Shapiro and Taylor earned the designation through a series of rigorous examinations and have maintained the designation by annual attendance at an approved CIC continuing education program.

HOSPITALITY

The Peter Allen Inn & Event Center, a destination retreat in the farmlands of upper Trumbull County, has announced the appointment of Kari White-Peska as its new innkeeper, overseeing the expansion of the facility’s overnight programs.

This new hire is a particularly appropriate fit since White-Peska’s grandmother ran a bed and breakfast in Kinsman for many years.

MARKETING

Steve Criado and Jackie Klanica were both recently hired by PALO Creative of Youngstown.

Criado is PALO’s senior designer, and Klanica is PALO’s associate designer. He has worked a number of apprenticeships, including one at Ray Simon Art, which does custom artwork for professional sports teams, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, police, fire and branches of the U.S. military.

Klanica is a 2015 graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. After graduation, she worked as a freelance designer working for an agency before coming to PALO.
