Learn financial fitness

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority will have a “Getting Through the Month – Cash Flow Budgeting” financial fitness workshop from 10 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8 p.m. July 11.

The workshop will take place the YMHA building, 131 W. Boardman St. The workshops are free, but registration is required at least one day before each workshop. Call 330-744-2161, ext. 251, to register.

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a Power Breakfast networking event at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave., from 7:30 to 9 a.m. July 25.

Free workshops

Warren

Kent State University at Trumbull and its Gelbke Library have assembled two free workshops to help individuals who are interested in starting a nonprofit and attaining grants. “Is Starting a Nonprofit Right for You?” will take place from 9 a.m. to noon July 11 in Room 117, Kent State Trumbull’s Technology Building, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW.

“Advanced Grantseeking for Government and Foundation Grants” will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon July 20 at the same location.

July luncheon

The Valley Alliance for Science and Technology will have its July luncheon with Mike O’Donnell, vice president of operations and senior innovation and growth adviser for the Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network, MAGNET. O’Donnell will present “Ideation – New Tools to Turn Today’s Business Problems into Tomorrow’s Innovations” from 12 to 1:15 p.m. July 21 at the Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center, 125 W. Market St.
