Warren Youth Choir schedules rehearsals

The Warren City Wide Youth Choir is inviting youth and young adults from the Warren area to participate in rehearsals for their upcoming performance at the third annual 2DE Gospel Fest featuring Israel Houghton & New Breed on July 9 in Youngstown.

Rehearsals will take place Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 1510 Main Ave SW. The choir is open to all local youth and young adults age 5 to 30-plus.

The choir is seeking donations to help offset event expenses, provide T-shirts for members and raise funds for their annual scholarship.

Gettin’ Crafty class planned in Salem

Think “Victorian” at Gettin’ Crafty, a hands-on activity for adults hosted by the Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., at 6:30 p.m. July 10, in the library’s Quaker Room.

The Gettin’ Crafty class takes place on the second Monday of each month.

Skill levels are beginner to moderate experience. A variety of papers, gorgeous embellishments and more will be used to create delicate cards. All materials will be provided at this free class open to the public.
