Man gets life term for rape of girl

Gilbert Skeins Jr., 22, of Niles was sentenced to life in prison today with parole eligibility after 25 years.

Skeins was convicted at trial earlier this month before Judge Andrew Logan Trumbull County Common Pleas Court of rape and gross sexual imposition of a girl who is now six.
