Reporting hot line
YOUNGSTOWN
Youngstown State University employees with concerns about fraud, fiscal abuse or violations of university policies can now make those concerns known through the new YSU Anonymous Reporting Hotline.
The hot line is operated by an independent company, EthicsPoint, to ensure confidentiality and anonymity. Concerns can be reported online at www.ysu.ethicspoint.com or by calling 844-208-1697.
Both the phone and website are available 24/7 to take reports. Reports are reviewed by YSU’s Office of Internal Audit.
Employees also have the option to discuss concerns about fraud, fiscal abuse and noncompliance directly with Sarah Gampo, internal audit director, at sgampo@ysu.edu.

Standards adopted
The Hubbard city and township and New Middletown village police departments have adopted and implemented state standards established by the Ohio Collaborative-Community Police Advisory Board.
The standards, which relate to the use of force and agency recruitment and hiring, aim to strengthen police-community relations.
More than 330 agencies employing more than 18,000 officers – 67 percent of all full-time and part-time law-enforcement officers in Ohio – are either certified or in the process of becoming certified to meet standards, according to a news release.
