Shrine Club donates $15K to Shriners Hospitals for Children

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR: Shrine Club donates $15K to Shriners Hospitals for Children Lou Garland, left, president of Youngstown Shrine Club, recently presented donations totaling $15,000 to Al York, member of Cincinnati Board of Governors, who accepted the donation on behalf of Shriners Hospitals for Children-Cincinnati. The club has designated $5,000 for a summer camp for burn patients and $10,000 for its rehabilitation unit. Shriners Hospital for Children-Cincinnati is one of 22 Shriner Hospitals in North America. It specializes in burn care, plastic surgery, reconstruction surgeries and complex wound and skin conditions. The hospital accepts and treats patients regardless of their ability to pay. Youngstown Shrine Club raises money through donations and public events to support the hospitals. The next event is its annual beer taste Feb. 4.
