Man shot in leg in Liberty

Police are investigating after a man was found shot in the leg outside a township home.

A neighbor called police about 5 a.m. after finding the man lying in the front yard of her Catherine Street home, according to Trumbull County dispatch.

Police said the man, a white male around age 40, was transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for surgery.
