ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 9:45 a.m. Feb. 4 at the Poland Library, 311 S. Main St. Following breakfast from Kravitz Delicatessen and a business meeting, Louise Kilar, docent of the Butler Institute of American Art, will present “History of Its Founding.” Hostesses are Vilma Kolacz-Belanger and Clydine Watson-Dickey. Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will have its Feb. 14. meeting at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the cost is $18. The menu consists of city chicken and lemon chicken, red skin potatoes, California blend vegetables, tossed salad, coleslaw, gelatin, rolls, beverages and dessert. Trumbull Retired Teachers’ Association will meet for a luncheon at noon Feb. 14 at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre in Niles. Carrie Shockey will discuss ways to communicate love. The association will collect coloring books, crayons and storybooks for Akron Children’s Hospital as well as yarn, postage stamps, candles and glasses. Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at Three Sheep Gallery, 6010 Market St., Boardman. Valentine cards will be made for one of the Juniorettes family members. Members are to wear something red in recognition of Women’s Heart Month. Preparations will be made for the Step Back in Time Tea set for March 11 at Poland Presbyterian Church. Warren Women’s Connection, an affiliate of Stonecroft Ministries, invites all women to attend its Feb. 13 luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Nancy Montagna will share her story “Homeless to Holiness.” Mary Duke, director of Teen Straight Talk, will host a question and answer time, and music will be provided by classical guitarist, Shaun McCune. Stonecroft Ministries is a non-denominational organization that reaches out to all women across the country and around the world. Luncheons take place the second Monday of each month and cost $13. Canfield Republican Women’s Club lunch meeting is scheduled for noon Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield.
