Police and Mahoning County Coroner’s officials are still trying to confirm the identities of two of three people killed Tuesday in a head-on collision on Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
Lt. William Ross of the department’s Accident Investigation Unit said Wednesday investigators are waiting to confirm the identity of two people in a car with Tennessee plates. Ross said police think they know who the people were and gave coroner’s officials the information, but it has not yet been confirmed.
A witness said the third person is Mark Blackburn of Hubbard, who was driving a Jeep that was also involved in the crash. A person who was in the Jeep with Blackburn is being treated at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Suspect sought

Youngstown State University and city police are searching for a robbery suspect.
A university police officer said someone was robbed on Spring Street between the Wick Oval and Fifth Avenue early Wednesday afternoon. The officer said no one was hurt, and no weapon was shown. The suspect ran north on Wick Avenue afterward, police said.
LEGO event slated

Barnes & Noble Youngstown announced, in partnership with Warner Bros. and The LEGO Group, it is kicking off a three-month-long celebration of the new animated adventure “The LEGO Batman Movie” beginning with a special event at 1 p.m. Saturday at 381 Boardman-Poland Road.
The movie opens nationwide Feb. 10.
The launch event will feature activities for children age 5 and older, including a LEGO-inspired building experience, sing-along and special giveaways.
Youngsters are invited to Barnes & Noble #BNYoungstown to watch the movie trailer, sing along to a new song from the film and join in a group LEGO build where they will have the opportunity to create their own version of the Batmobile and show it off in the store. There also will be giveaways at the Saturday event while supplies last.

Trumbull Community Action Program, 1230 Palmyra Road SW, recently received $363,099 in program operations and $263,940 in start-up funds as part of a $290 million nationwide award recently announced by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families’ Office of Head Start that went to 665 Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
When at full capacity, TCAP Head Start will serve 157 children in full-day, full-year classes eventually conducted Monday through Friday. Agency officials hope to operate four full-day classrooms beginning in February with four more opening in August.
