Kravitz special menu

YOUNGSTOWN

Kravitz Delicatessen will have a special menu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Kravitz Garden Cafe inside the Fellows Riverside Gardens for Rose Kravitz’s 101st birthday celebration and for the Jewish Food Festival.

The menu includes mish mosh soup, fried pastrami, Kravitz bagels, potato pancakes with applesauce and sour cream and corned beef hash.

The cafe is at 123 McKinley Ave.

Taking the helm at Murer Consulting

BOARDMAN

Lyndean Brick, a native of Boardman, is president and chief executive officer of Illinois-based Murer Consulting Inc., the firm she helped build into one of the country’s top health care consulting organizations.

Brick is a lawyer with three decades of experience in health care law, management and regulatory consulting. Her former partners, Michael and Cherilyn Murer, retired in early January.

Murer Consultants represents clients in nearly all 50 states and is known nationally for developing strategies and organizational structures that remain responsive to an ever-changing health care delivery system. Murer clients range from large multihospital health care systems and academic medical centers to midsized physician-owned group practices.

Schiavoni’s jobs bill

COLUMBUS

Senate Minority Leader Joe Schiavoni of Boardman, D-33rd, on Tuesday announced details for a jobs bill that will help train skilled workers and provide targeted assistance to Ohio’s business community.

Schiavoni’s jobs bill will total $100 million over the biennium and support businesses and workers in several areas, including: career technical educational funding, incentives for businesses and higher education partnerships and business development funding.

Toyota recalls trucks

dETROIT

Toyota says it’s recalling about 79,000 Tundra pickup trucks in the U.S., Canada and Central America because steps in the rear bumpers could break.

The recall covers trucks from the 2016 and 2017 model years. All have steps and reinforcement brackets in the bumpers that are made of resin.

Toyota says if the truck is backed into something, that could damage the step and it could break if a person steps on it, increasing the risk of injury.

Dealers will replace the resin reinforcement brackets with new ones that are made of steel. Owners will be notified by letter starting in mid-February.

Toyota to put $600M into SUV factory

PRINCETON, IND.

Toyota announced Tuesday that it will boost SUV production at an Indiana factory with a $600 million investment the company says will add 400 jobs.

The company said it will retool and buy new equipment for the Princeton assembly plant in southwestern Indiana, which will allow the factory to produce 40,000 more Highlanders a year when the project is finished in the fall of 2019.
