BOYS BASKETBALL
The LaBrae and McDonald boys basketball teams are the highest ranked Mahoning Valley squads in this week’s Associated Press poll of Ohio teams. In Division III, LaBrae (13-0) is ranked second and South Range is 11th. In Div. IV, McDonald (13-1) is third and Bristol (13-1) is seventh.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Cardinal Mooney 54, Springfield 35
NEW MIDDLETOWN
Taylor Martin led the Cardinals (7-5) with 18 points and Camden Hergenrother scored eight. For the Tigers, Marlie Applegarth and Taylor Coy each scored eight.
Valley Christian 68, Badger 31
YOUNGSTOWN
India Snyder and Daisjha Parks each scored 21 points for the Eagles. Parks also made 15 rebounds while Imane Snyder scored 13 points. For the Braves, R. Litz led with 12 points.
Austintown Fitch 61, Salem 45

Sabria Hunter scored 22 points to lead the Falcons. Also scoring in double figures were Gina DiFrancesco with 13 and Jada Lazaro with 11. For the Quakers, Chloe Cheresne led with 17 points.
Western Reserve 45, Sebring 33
SEBRING
Alexis Hughes scored 18 points and made six rebounds to lead the Blue Devils. Laura Sigworth contributed 11 points and three assists. For the Trojans, Amanda Hurford scored 11 points and Olivia Woods 10.
Columbiana 74, Southern 26
SALINEVILLE
Columbiana quickly dismantled Southern to continue its undefeated season at 18 games. Alexis Cross led the Clippers with 24 points and Kayla Muslovski added 16. Anna Sevek had a team-high 12 points for Southern.

LOWELLVILLE
Ashley Totani scored 21 points and Michaelina Terranova added 16 points for Jackson-Milton (14-3). Maria Mangine led Lowellville (2-14) with seven points and Mara Ellis added six.

Britney Smith scored 12 points to lead the Blue Devils (12-3, 6-1 Inter-Tri County League Blue). For the Rams, Taryn Kolesar led with 13 points.

Kristy Eckman powered the Bears (6-8) with 18 points, 16 rebounds, four assists and six steals. Elizabeth Mills scored 11. For the Tigers (0-17, 0-7 ITCL White), Sara Dalrymple contributed 15 points, nine rebounds, five steals and eight assists.

East Palestine was led by Sarah Buskirk’s seven points and Sadie Walker’s six points. Hannah Mix scored eight points for United Local and Cameron Pierson added six points in the defeat.
