‘Hunted’ captures healthy audience

The Steelers lost decisively to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game Sunday, but the new reality TV show “Hunted” was a winner. The football game’s huge ratings benefited “Hunted,” which aired immediately afterward. In “Hunted,” former FBI agent Robert Clark – a former Youngstown police detective – and his team track down pairs of contestants over a four-state area.

The AFC title game garnered a whopping 27.6 rating in early overnight returns, according to The Hollywood Reporter. That massive football audience translated into 10.8 million viewers and a 3.6 rating among adults age 18-49 for “Hunted,” according to early returns. A share represents the percentage of people who were watching television at the time.

The adjusted ratings scores likely will prove the show to be the strongest debut for that key demographic this season, according to the Reporter.
