Musical theater excerpts at Butler

Students in Youngstown State University’s musical theater program will give a free performance at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at The Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave.

The performance is part of the Music at Noon series at the museum.

Here is the program:

“Raise the Roof” (from “The Wild Party”) and “Heaven Help My Heart” (from “Chess”), by Mia Colon of Youngstown

“I Can’t Say No” (“Oklahoma!”) and “Better Than That” (“The Last Five Years”), by Makenzie Moorman, Piketon, Ohio

“Getting to Know You” (“The King and I”) and “Dancin’ All the Time” (“Big”), by Jessica Hirsh, Pepper Pike

“Hurricane” (“Hamilton”) and “Like It Here” (“The Hinterlands”), by Wendy Stewart and Gary West

“And They’re Off” (“A New Brain”) and “My Dad and I Don’t Talk,” by Aaron Gutauckas, Chesterland

“Since You Stayed Here” (“Brownstone”) and “I Think That He Likes Me” (“Homemade Fusion”), by Katie Jerome, Westlake

Free parking is available at the Butler. Patrons are advised to watch for posted detours due to the reconstruction of Wick Avenue.
