DOCTORS

Chiropractic degree

Nicholas Cestone has received a doctor of chiropractic degree after commencement exercises at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida campus, in Port Orange, Fla.

To earn the doctor of chiropractic degree, Dr. Cestone completed more than four academic years of professional study.

His parents are John and Sandi Cestone of Youngstown. He lives in Port Orange and will be establishing a clinic in Daytona Beach, Fla.

5 Scholarships

The Builders Association awarded scholarships to five Youngstown State University students.

Each recipient is enrolled in YSU’s Civil and Construction Engineering Technology program. The 2016 scholarship recipients are: Kara Weeks, freshman, of Austintown; Jo-Lynn Campbell, sophomore, of Boardman; Ron Bigley, sophomore, of Austintown; Danny Marker, senior, of Howland; and Hayley Marchio, senior, of Howland.

The students were awarded their scholarships at the association’s annual meeting last month.

For 45 years, the association has awarded more than $168,000 in scholarships to collegiate men and women studying to become a construction professional in our region.

The Builders Association represents about 150 contractors and affiliated construction industry services members from Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties in Ohio and Lawrence and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania.
