Applications now open for Men's Garden Club of Youngstown scholarships

YOUNGSTOWN

Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown is accepting scholarship applications for students pursuing a degree in ornamental horticulture, landscape design or similar programs at a post-secondary two- or four-year institution. The applicant must be attending an accredited college or university in the United States, have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on the 4.0 scale, and live in or attended high school in Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage, Stark or Trumbull counties, or Mercer and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania.

MGCY has promoted the education of college scholarships since 1991. Scholarships will range from $500 to $1,500.

Application forms are available from the MGCY website www.mgcy.org/Pages/Scholarship.aspx. The application requires letters of recommendation and transcripts.

All applications must be returned by March 1 to Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown, c/o Robert Schulick, 1012 Old Furnace Road, Youngstown OH 44511.
