Soup and salad dinner to benefit area needy

A soup and salad dinner hosted by Palmy Chapter 114, OES, will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at Deerfield Masonic Hall, 2380 state Route 225.

The menu comprises potato, vegetable beef, chicken noodle, ham and bean soups and chili, tossed salad, crackers, breads, dessert and a beverage. Take out is available.

Proceeds will be used to assist the chapter with operating expenses and philanthropic efforts.
