“SIX” (10 p.m., History): The new military combat drama series “SIX” follows members of a Navy SEAL team as they embark on a dangerous mission to rescue their former troop leader from the hands of terrorists. Walton Goggins and Barry Sloane head the cast.

Bill Gaither coming to Stambaugh

YOUNGSTOWN

Bill Gaither, with the Gaither Vocal Band, will return to Youngstown on March 16 for an evening of music, laughter and encouragement at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Tickets go on sale Monday at the box office, 1000 Fifth Ave.; by phone at 330-259-0555; and online at stambaughauditorium.com.

The Gaither Vocal Band will share gospel classics and new favorites, including songs from the act’s current release, “Better Together.”

Joining the Gaither Vocal Band will be vocalists Charlotte Ritchie and Gene McDonald, and guitarist-comedian Kevin Williams.

LGBTQ honors for Streep, ‘Moonlight’

NEW YORK

Actress Meryl Streep, TV host Seth Meyers and the Golden Globe-winning movie “Moonlight” will be honored next month by the Human Rights Campaign, the LGBTQ civil-rights organization.

The award for “Moonlight,” a coming-of-age film about a black gay youth, will be accepted by Tarell Alvin McCraney, the author of the play on which the film is based.

Meyers, the host of “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on NBC, is being honored at the Feb. 11 gala for raising awareness about LGBTQ issues. Streep will be honored for a career of advocating for LGBTQ equality.

ACM Awards moves to Las Vegas arena

NASHVILLE, Tenn.

The Academy of Country Music Awards is moving its annual show to the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The 52nd annual awards show will take place April 2 and will air on CBS, the Encino, Calif.-based group announced Tuesday. Last year’s show, hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Artist nominations will be announced later this year.

The 20,000-seat T-Mobile Arena opened in 2016 on the Las Vegas Strip. It will be the home of a new National Hockey League expansion team later this year.
