Bronson Koenig scored 21 points as No. 18 Wisconsin recovered from a poor shooting performance four days earlier to blitz Ohio State. Wisconsin (14-3, 3-1 Big Ten) shot 39 percent from the field on Sunday, including just 2 of 14 from 3-point range, as Purdue snapped the Badgers’ nine-game winning streak. Wisconsin had no such troubles with the Buckeyes (10-7, 0-4). The Badgers shot 49 percent from the field, including a season-best 55 percent from the 3-point line. Nigel Hayes added 15 points, while Vitto Brown scored 12. Ohio State, playing its third straight game without Keita Bates-Diop, who’s out for the season with a stress fracture in his leg, allowed Wisconsin to turn 21 offensive rebounds into 28 second-chance points. JaQuan Lyle led the Buckeyes with 13 points.

The first half was close and Gonzaga led for nearly all of it. The Bulldogs kept pushing leads to as many as 10 points, and the Lions would immediately whittle them down.

No. 20 Notre Dame 67, Miami 62

CORAL GABLES, FLA.

V.J. Beachem sank the go-ahead basket and made the clinching steal as No. 20 Notre Dame rallied from a four-point deficit in the final 2 1/2 minutes to beat Miami. The Fighting Irish (15-2, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) outscored Miami 10-1 down the stretch to earn their sixth straight victory. Their four league wins have been by a total of 18 points. Miami (11-4, 1-2) had its 21-game home winning streak snapped. The Fighting Irish were down 61-57 with 2:30 left, but Beachem’s reverse layup put them ahead 63-61 with 1:04 to go. After Ja’Quan Newton made one of two free throws for Miami, Steve Vasturia drove for a layup with 8 seconds remaining. Following a timeout, Beachem made a steal on the inbounds play, and Matt Farrell’s two free throws iced the victory. Farrell led the Irish with 15 points and six assists, and Beachem had 13 points. Miami senior Davon Reed tied a career high with 21 points.

No. 22 Cincinnati 66, SMU 64

Gary Clark led Cincinnati with 18 points, including two 3s that matched his career high. SMU (14-4, 4-1) lost its 10-game winning streak, which tied for third-longest in school history. Sterling Brown led the Mustangs with a season-high 20 points and 11 rebounds, but missed a 3-point shot that would have given the Mustangs the lead with 10 seconds left.

Utah 86, No. 25 Southern California 64

SALT LAKE CITY

Devon Daniels scored 17 points and Utah earned its first win against a ranked team this season with a victory over No. 25 USC. The Utes overcame a sluggish start and throttled the Trojans for the final 35 minutes of the game. Utah fell behind 10-0 at the start and then dominated the rest of the first half to take a 44-31 lead. The Utes seemed to sleepwalk through the first 4-plus minutes, shooting 0 for 5 from the field before hitting 18 of 23 (78.3 percent) of its shots the rest of the half. The Trojans went in the opposite direction after the opening 10-point run and shot just 30.8 percent the rest of the half after a 4-for-6 start. USC never truly threatened in the second half and got no closer than an eight-point deficit. Daniels finished two points shy of his career high, and David Collette and Lorenzo Bonam added 15 apiece for the Utes. Kyle Kuzma recorded another double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
