Judge dismisses Trumbull GOP officials' squabble

WARREN

A Trumbull County judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Randy Law, chairman of the Trumbull County Republican Party, against Martha Yoder, the party’s secretary.

Judge W. Wyatt McKay ruled that he does not have jurisdiction in the matter.

Law, of Warren, filed suit in June, asking the court to order Yoder to refrain from representing herself as party secretary, calling party meetings or continuing her “stranglehold” on the party’s Facebook page. Law said Yoder, a Farmington Township trustee, had been removed as party secretary in May because of her “erratic and unexplainable” behavior during several months earlier in the year.

The decision says the court also cannot rule on whether Yoder is the “rightful holder of the office of secretary” with the right to control the Facebook account.
