YOUNGSTOWN
Youngstown State University is hosting the 2017 Northeastern Ohio Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition today through Jan. 27. Showcasing artwork from students in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Ashtabula counties in grades 7 to 12, the exhibition runs in the Judith Rae Solomon Gallery on the second floor of Bliss Hall and in the art department on the fourth floor. The Gallery is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 40 schools are participating.
Forum with Mohip
YOUNGSTOWN
Mike McNair, Linda McNair and Clarence Boles will host a forum sponsored by the Buckeye Review from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, 2821 Hillman St. Guest speaker will be Krish Mohip, CEO of Youngstown City Schools.
Job-skills workshop
YOUNGSTOWN
The YWCA of Youngstown received a $5,000 grant for its job-skills program from the Thomases Family Endowment of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation
The three-week job-skills workshops focuses on career assessment and exploration, financial literacy, resume writing and interviewing.
