HOWLAND
Needing just 10 points to become Howland’s all time leading scorer, Sara Price scored 13 to lead Howland (10-3) to victory. Mackenzie Maze and Gabby Hartzell each scored 12 points for the Tigers. Also reaching double figures for Howland was Alex Ochman with 10 points, Ochman also hauled in a game-high 11 rebounds, notching a double-double. For Fitch Jada Lazero scored 10 points.
Canfield 52, Lakeview 49
CORTLAND
Jill Baker scored 13 points and Brittany Coonce added 11 as Canfield (7-5, 5-1) edged Lakeview. Annie Pavlansky and Lindsay Carnahan had near-identical stats, putting up 15 and 14 points, respectively, while each grabbing five rebounds. Jensen Silbaugh had 10 points for the Bulldogs (7-5, 5-3).
Struthers 65, Lakeside 37
STRUTHERS
Struthers (8-3, 6-0) blanked Lakeside in the first quarter. Alexis Bury led the Wildcats with 15 points and Trinity McDowell added 11. Tamara Olavarria led Lakeside (0-12) with 16 points. Carly Aponte had 10 points in defeat.
Newton Falls 51, Brookfield 32
NEWTON FALLS
Newton Falls (8-1) limited Brookfield to four points in both the second and fourth quarters. Izzy Kline had a double double for the Tigers with 20 points and 13 rebounds and Hannah Harnichar made two threes in a 10-point performance.
West Branch 65, Canton South 37
CANTON TOWNSHIP
West Branch (8-2, 6-1) went on a 20-8 run in the second quarter. Natalie Zuchowski scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Indians. Sarrah Tennefoss had 10 points for the winning side. Mitchell, Faiello and B. Noll each had eight points for Canton South.
Western Reserve 51, Lordstown 43
BERLIN CENTER
Western Reserve was hot from behind the arch, hitting 10 3-pointers. Leading the way for the Blue Devils were Alexis Hughes (15 points) and Erica DeZee (13). Kate Deal hit three 3-pointers for the Blue Devils. Lordstown had three players in double figures. Alexis Weekley (13), Kaylynn Higinbottom (11) and Kellee Applegate (11) paced the Red Devils.
McDonald 47, Wellsville 21
MCDONALD
Sam Homa scored 22 points as McDonald (7-3) held Wellsville to single-digit points in three of the four quarters. Brittany Smith added 10 points for the Blue Devils. Sara Dalrymple led Wellsville with 12 points (0-13).
Mathews 69, Heartland Christian 13
VIENNA
Katarina Schubert scored 17 points in a Mathews win. Morgan Williams added 10 points, while Paige Sponsler and Cala Bornmeiss each scored nine points for the Mustangs. Sarah Keyes led Heartland Christian with seven points.
Mineral Ridge 63, Southington 56

Alexa Harkins made 11 of her 19 free-throw attempts and scored 25 points overall for Mineral Ridge (6-5). Taryn Kolesar added 13 points for the Rams. Courtney Warneik (19 points) and Brittany Davis (17) led the way for Chalker.
Columbiana 51, Jackson-Milton 47
COLUMBIANA
After trailing 10-3 in the first quarter and 21-19 at halftime, Columbiana came back to win Saturday night. Led by Alexis Cross, who scored 18 points and Mariah Rovnak’s 11 points the Clippers (14-0) remain undefeated. Jackson-Milton was led by Ashley Totani who scored 16 points and Michaelina Terranova who scored 15 points.

Hubbard 64, West Branch 56
HUBBARD
Led by Davion Daniels (16 points) and Shannon Slovesko (12) Hubbard picked up a victory Saturday night. For West Branch TJ DeShields led all scorers with 21 points.
WRESTLING
Clippers excel at Shadyside
SHADYSIDE
Five different Columbiana Wrestlers earned medals at the Shadyside Tournament. Caleb Rupert (18-2) won the 182-pound division, while Tim Davin (18-3) brought home the gold in the 285-pound division. 160 pounder Vince Vivo (14-6) placed second in his weight class. Joey Bable (8-4), wrestling at 126 pounds finished the day 3-1 and placed third. Frank Rupert (12-7) earned a fourth place finish in the 170-pound division.
