Students at Poland North Preschool stayed in their pajamas as they rode the Polar Express to school on Dec. 13.
As students arrived to school, they lined up behind a cut-out Polar Express train to start the beginning of their Polar Express day. Upon entering the building, the students prepared to celebrate the rest of their special day.
Students from Danielle Argeras’s, Joy Bucci’s and Samantha Cox’s classes sat together as they watched a “Polar Express” film. When the movie was finished, the students went back to their own classrooms to finish out the Polar Express day. All three teachers had their students participate in different Polar Express activities. Students in Cox’s class decorated cookies and went fishing for candy canes, along with several other fun projects planned for the day. Bucci’s class went to the gymnasium as they worked on their songs for their upcoming Christmas sing. Argeras set out silver bells, like the ones in “The Polar Express” around the classroom for students to find and take home with them.
The students and teachers enjoyed their fun-filled day all in the comfort of their own pajamas. With the holidays approaching, the students will continue to work on their songs for the upcoming Christmas sings.
