Investigator testifies in Blake murder trial

YOUNGSTOWN

The lead investigator in the murder of Munir Blake is testifying this morning in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court against the man charged with Blake's murder.

Michael Paige, 26, is on trial for the March 1, 2012, death of Blake, who prosecutors said was killed in a Lora Avenue apartment after a dispute over stolen electricity.

Paige was acquitted of aggravated murder in 2014 in Blake's death but jurors deadlocked on lesser charges of murder and voluntary manslaughter. Prosecutors opted to retry him.
