Man jailed after police stop yields painkillers

YOUNGSTOWN — A Pointview Avenue man is in the Mahoning County jail on a felony possession of drugs charge after reports said police found 20 painkillers on him.

Reports said officers at about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday stopped Jakes Fabian, 35, at West Warren Avenue and Summer Street because he was walking in the street instead of the sidewalk.

Fabian also had two needles and a burnt spoon on him, reports said.
