City police investigate suspected OD death

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating after a man was found dead at about 4:10 p.m. Wednesday in a North Side apartment.

Police and paramedics were called to an apartment in the 200 block of Park Avenue by a man who said he was worried about his 66-year-old brother who he had not heard from for several hours.

When officers arrived they found the man dead in the kitchen and a needle on a kitchen counter. Reports said the man's brother told police the victim used to be addicted to painkillers.

Police and the coroner's office are investigating.
