Court hears update on animal abuser
WARREN
Salvador Rendon, 61, convicted of cruelty to animals for having sex with his daughter’s dogs and inspiring the city to pass a law against it, appeared in court Tuesday.
According to Coleman Professional Services, Rendon has done “excellent” in his treatment program through the agency. He also has paid all of his court costs and fine, according to Warren Municipal Court documents.
Judge Thomas Gysegem ordered that Rendon appear for another hearing April 4 for another update.
Rendon spent 30 days in the Trumbull County jail and was placed on five years’ probation after being convicted. One of the terms of his probation is that he have no contact with animals.
Warren passed a bestiality ordinance in June, the first such law in Ohio, after Rendon’s crimes came to light.
