Man arrested for thefts at Boardman Walmart
BOARDMAN — Township police arrested a man wanted in four separate theft cases reported at the Walmart on Doral Drive.
Police on Tuesday took custody of Thomas Barton, 33, of Wellsville on warrants after he was jailed in Columbiana County.
According to police reports, the warrants stem from thefts at Walmart reported April 8, June 25, July 27, and August 22.
Police accuse Barton of stealing, in total, approximately $2,000 worth of items from Walmart, including a home-security system, drills and other tools, GPS units, wireless speakers, a television, an external hard drive, and other electronic devices.
In each case, Barton reportedly was accompanied by other suspects.
Barton was taken to the Mahoning County jail.
