Jury selection underway in 2015 murder case

YOUNGSTOWN — Jury selection is underway today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for two people accused of a murder last February on Ayers Street.

Kimani Hodges, 20, and Angel Bell, 20, are both charged with the Feb. 17, 2016, death of Jason Fonseca, also 20, who was shot to death in front of several people in front of his driveway.

Bell is facing conspiracy and obstruction charges. Hodges is facing a count of aggravated murder. He is expected to plead self defense.
