"Hats Off to Seniors" attracts more than 100 participants

YOUNGSTOWN
Youngstown Section of the National Council of Negro Women hosted its eighth annual “Hats Off to Seniors” Christmas luncheon at the McGuffey Centre.
More than 100 seniors from the community were treated to a holiday meal on Dec. 10.
Seniors also enjoyed Christmas music, playing bingo and door prizes.
A hat parade took place and three winners were selected. First prize went to Ida Mae Morris, second to Juanita Rodgers and third to Sally Hawkins.
Angela Pickett is president of the Youngstown Section. Committee members were Karen Jackson-Cook, Rosa-lyn Garrett, Edna Douglas, Yvonne Wilson, Kathryn Green, Kristy Gore and Laura Gore.
The Youngstown Section, founded in 1976, is celebrating its 40th year in the community. Monthly meetings take place at the McGuffey Centre.
