Reynolds-Fisher film to air Saturday
In light of the recent and unexpected deaths of both Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, the debut of the documentary “Bright Lights” has been moved up to Saturday at 8 p.m., exclusively on HBO. The film was originally scheduled to premiere in March.
“Bright Lights” is an intimate portrait of Hollywood royalty in all its eccentricity. It features vintage family films.
Youth theater schedules auditions
CANFIELD
AfterSchool Players will have auditions for “The Little Match Girl” on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Dublin Grange Theater, 6571 Fairground Blvd., near the intersection of U.S. Route 224.
Auditionees must be at least in fourth grade. They will be asked to sing a one-minute song of their choice and will cold-read from the script. All roles are available. Show dates are Feb. 17-19. Rehearsal will take place a few times per week.

Self-defense class

The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, is offering a self-defense class. Participants will learn the fundamentals of self-defense and ways of dealing with an aggressor. Instructor is Grandmaster Samuel David Naples.
This class is geared toward adults who want to learn how to protect themselves and will meet Mondays and Thursdays, Jan. 12 to Feb. 6, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
