AUCTIONS

Girard Fraternal Order of Eagles, 26 W Wilson Ave., will host a charity quarter auction March 11 at the Eagles hall. It is a fundraiser for its Downs Syndrome and Autism charity. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bidding begins at 7. Tickets are $10 a person and are only available in advance. Food and a paddle are included, extra paddles are $1 each. Junior Group of Goodwill Industries will host its auction and jewelry sale from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave. Tickets are $25 each ($7 tax deductible) or $30 after Monday. BOOK SALES

Columbiana Friends of the Library, 332 N. Middle St. will host a book sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 11. Paperbacks will be 25 cents; hardbacks, 50 cents; audio/visual material, $1. Bag of books for $3 begins at 3 p.m. There are more than 200 boxes of books of many genres. A preview sale for members will be from 6 to 8 p.m. March 10. Memberships will be available at $3 for individuals and $5 per family.

FUNDRAISERS

Columbiana Bunco will host its third annual Relay for Life dance party fundraiser from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the North Lima Shrine Club, 1735 W South Range Road. Dominic Tocco and Brotherhood will entertain. Tickets are $25 per person and available by calling Fredda at 330-921-8610.

Hubbard Robotics is sponsoring a steak fry Saturday at Yankee Lake Ballroom, 1814 state Route 7, Brookfield. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner starts at 7. Ronnie Palowitz Benefit spaghetti and meatball dinner will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Austintown Eagles Club, corner of New Road and Raccoon. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Carry out will be available. There also will be 50-50 and gift basket raffles, a cookie table and music. Palowitz is fighting sarcoma. NIGHTS AT THE RACES

RAFFLES

Boardman Schools Fund for Educational Excellence, a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, is hosting its second annual reverse raffle dinner at 6 p.m. March 10 at the Holiday Inn, Boardman. There will be a silent auction, 50-50 and basket raffles, and prizes throughout the evening. The final ticket will be worth $2,000. Tickets are $50 each for dining and multiple chances to win. Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. The entire winter inventory is 50 percent off in February. Prom dresses, only in small sizes, are 20 percent off.

Wilmington Township Mercer County Civic League Quilters will offer its 15th quilt show and sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 18 at the Municipal Building, 35 Auction Road, New Wilmington, Pa. Featured this year will be Gwen Isaac’s quilts. Isaac is from Pulaski and has been quilting for more than 40 years. Admission is $2 and refreshments will be available. A king-size cross-stitch quilt will be raffled at the annual garage sale May 13. Tickets may be purchased for $1 each, or six tickets for $5. Proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund.
