Sunday fire at North Side home under investigation

YOUNGSTOWN — The cause of a fire about 2:05 p.m. Sunday at a vacant North Side home is under investigation, fire reports said.

Crews were called to an 18 Thornton Ave. home, where they found smoke coming from a second floor bedroom. Crews managed to get inside and knock the flames down.

Damage is listed at $3,000. No one was injured.
