Insurance

The Gibson Agency of Girard has been recognized by Grange Insurance as a top-performing independent agency, earning Grange’s prestigious Leadership Circle designation for excellence in 2016.

The Leadership Circle designation is given to Grange’s most experienced and talented independent agency partners who are leaders in the insurance industry. Gibson is one of just 39 agencies to receive this year’s award. This is out of nearly 4,000 independent agencies across the nation that sell Grange’s insurance products.

SOCIAL MEDIA

A team from the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University recently qualified as a semifinalist in the Ball State University – Center for Advancement of Digital Marketing & Analytics – Social Media Competition in Muncie, Ind. The four are also members of the Eta Zeta Chapter of the national Pi Sigma Epsilon professional sales and marketing fraternity.

The next round will take place March 24-25.

The four team members are: William Heath of Hubbard; Caleb Anderson of Clarksburg, Ohio; Leila Farhan of Howland; and Fierra Hueston of West Middlesex, Pa.

DELIVERY

UPS recently announced that 61 elite drivers from Ohio are among 1,575 newly inducted worldwide into the Circle of Honor, an honorary organization for UPS drivers who have achieved 25 or more years of accident-free driving.

Locally, Timothy Ward of Austintown, who services the Trumbull County area, was named an elite driver.

INVESTMENT

Paul D. Finch, vice president of Wealth Management at Seven Seventeen Retirement & Investment Group, has earned the Certified Financial Planner professional designation from the CFP Board of Standards. The investment group is located at Seven Seventeen Credit Union in Warren. Certified Financial Planner professionals must meet the highest requirements in the industry in terms of ethics, education, experience and examination.

CREDIT UNION

Jessica George recently joined Seven Seventeen Credit Union as internal audit manager. She comes to Seven Seventeen with more than eight years of internal audit experience and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in management. In her new position, George will oversee the financial institution’s Internal Auditing Department.
