Hvisdak-Bates engagement is announced

Danielle Lynn Hvisdak of Boardman and Robert Carl Bates of Canfield are engaged and are planning to marry May 27.

The bride-elect is the daughter of John and Diane Hvisdak of Lowellville. The prospective groom is the son of Carl Bates of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Patricia Bates of Canfield.

The open ceremony will take place at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville. Invitations will be issued for an outdoor reception in Canfield.

Miss Hvisdak graduated from Jameson School of Radiography with a degree in radiology. She is an MRI technologist for Alliance Healthcare Radiology in Canton.

Mr. Bates graduated from University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in business. He is a realtor at Agency Real Estate and the owner of Hoover Concessions.
