ASSOCIATIONS

Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will celebrate its annual Woman of the Year event March 14 at Rachel’s Restaurant, 54 Westchester Drive, Austintown. A social will take place from 6 to 6:30 p.m. The menu is mixed garden salad, vegetable medley, oven roasted potatoes, baked chicken Italiano, roasted pork loin and dessert. BNI Mahoning Valley Chapter will meet 7:30 a.m. Thursday at Denny’s, 154 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. Mandy Forlina will give an introduction to nutrigenomics.

Warren Women’s Connection, an affiliate of Stonecroft Ministries, invites all women to attend its March 13 luncheon at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2510 Elm Road NE, Warren. It takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Reservations for the luncheon are required, the cost is $13. Jennifer Ebaugh, Evans City, Pa., will talk about choices and consequences in tough situations. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of the Poland Library will meet March 7 at the Poland Library, 311 S. Main St. Coffee hour will be at 9:30 a.m., and the program and business meeting will follow at 10. “The Beauty of Glass” will be presented by Jessica Trickett. Hostesses will be Peg Bodine, Sue Perry, Sue Faulkner and Jean McComb. Donations of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs are accepted at each meeting for the Poland Friends book cart. The meeting is open to the public, and new members are welcome. Membership dues are $10 a year.

POLITICAL CLUBS

Canfield Republican Women’s Club dinner meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Dr. William Binning, chairman and professor of political science at Youngstown State University, will speak on the Constitution and the Electoral College. Dinner will be a buffet at $15 per person. Parents Without Partners, Portage County Chapter 600, will have its monthly dance from 7:30 to 11 p.m. March 4 at the Ritchie Memorial Shelter House, 109 West Ave., Tallmadge.
