Children entered the sweet world of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory on Feb. 11 at the Poland library.

Jen Kuczek, youth librarian, turned a normal room into a wonderland full of chocolate and Willy Wonka themed activities. There was a chocolate fountain with marshmallows, pretzels and graham crackers to dip in. Some of the games were a Mike Teevee Chocolate Puzzle, a chocolate factory with Play Doh and molds, Violet’s Blueberry Toss and many more games. There was a background and props to use for the guests to take a picture with.

More than 100 guests showed up to the program eager to indulge in everything it had to offer.

This is the first time the Poland library has hosted a Willy Wonka event like this and Kuczek is happy with the turnout.

Many of the children ran around trying to play all of the games that were open. The program wasn’t just fun for the younger children, but also for the older children and the adults who accompanied them.

After a full morning and plenty of sweets, the children received a goody bag on the way out to bring the Chocolate Factory home with them.
