Selah Dessert Theater offers ‘The Effect of Gamma Rays’

“The Effect Of Gamma Rays On Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds” will open March 2 at Selah Dessert Theater, on the second floor of Selah Restaurant, 130 S. Bridge St.
The play tells the story of Beatrice Hunsdorfer and her two school-aged daughters. The family’s broken lives are the backdrop to the youngest daughter’s (Tillie) science project for school.
Nanny, an elderly boarder, and Peter, the girls’ pet rabbit, also try to survive Beatrice’s abuse and need for attention.
Jim Cannacci directs the production. The cast includes Liz Conrad as Beatrice, Rachel Conrad as Tillie, Gillian Cannaci as Janice Vickery and Brenda Zyvith as Nanny.
Rounding out the cast are Sarah Puhala and Aggie Heschmeyer.
Performances are at 8 p.m. next Thursday, March 3, 4, 10 and 11. Tickets are $17.50 and include dessert at intermission. Tickets are available at selahrestaurant.com, the Selah Facebook page, or by calling 800-838-3066.
