Canfield Band Parents win Support Group of the Year award

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Board of Trustees of the Ohio Music Education Association recently awarded Support Group of the Year to Canfield Band Parents, Inc. The group was nominated by Canfield band directors Mike Kelly and Jim Volenik. Canfield Band Parents host fundraising events throughout the year to help the band purchase new uniforms, instruments, equipment and sheet music. The group has recently started “Friends of the Canfield Bands Program,” which gathers corporate and individual sponsors for the program.
