Music, art fest expands to 3 days

CHESTER, W.VA.
The annual Music and Art at Oak Glen festival will expand to three days this year. The event will be March 10-12 at Oak Glen High School Little Theatre, 195 Golden Bear Drive.
It will feature four sessions and 16 performances. In addition, there will be a large Commons area with local and regional authors, artisans, crafters and vendors. The Hall and Warehouse Galleries will feature a wide array of visual art, and there will be an alternate stage offering a full schedule of entertainment, with free admission.
The family friendly event, a school and community collaborative, will provide a slate of activities for children during the midafternoon hours on Saturday and Sunday.
Included among the headline bands: The Dustbowl Revival, the David Mayfield Parade, Parsonsfield, Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys, No Depression, The Tillers, Upstate Rubdown, and Alex Bevan.
The local/regional bands scheduled to perform include The Wonder Junkies, BananaFish, Acme Brothers Band, and Not Quite Pious.
Individual session and full event passes are available at the discounted rate of $15 per session or $45 for all four sessions until Wednesday. After that date, all individual sessions will be $20. Passes can be purchased online atmusicandartatoakglen.com. For information, call 304-374-7474.
