UPDATE | Police investigate badly burned body in van on East Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating the death of a person found about 7:40 a.m today in a burning SUV behind a vacant Edgar Street home on the city's East Side.

The SUV was burned so badly that investigators cannot determine the sex of the victim.

It is the second body found recently in the area. The body of a man found shot to death was discovered Tuesday on Wardle Avenue.
