Ursuline won a tight game over Massillon Perry after trailing going into the fourth quarter. Anise Algahmee hit six 3-pointers en route to an 18-point performance. Anthony Howell added 16 points, and Vince Venzeio hit four 3-pointers in a 14 point outing. Statistics for Perry were not provided.

Sam Hitchcock scored a game high 31 points for Jefferson. Hitchcock had strong first and third quarters, scoring 10 and 11 points, respectively, in those periods. Raffaele Giancola added 20 points for the Falcons, while Sam Chaney hit four 3-pointers to add 12 points. Girard had four players reach double figures led by Anthony Backus with 17 points. SWIMMING

Two Canfield boys swimming relay teams most likely will be competing at state next weekend in Canton. The top two at each of the four district meets plus the next best 16 finishers earn state berths. At Friday’s Division II district meet at Cleveland State, the Canfield 200 Freestyle relay team of Bobby Kutsch, Lake Bennett, Kamran Sarac and Cullen Brady finished third with a time of 1:28.06. The same quartet also finished third in the 400 Freestyle relay (3:16.45). In individual races, Sarac was eighth in the 50 Freestyle and Brady was seventh in the 100 Freestyle (48.67. In the girls meet, West Branch’s Jamyson was fourth in the 100 Breaststroke (1:06.28) and sixth in the 200 IM (2:13.59). Crestview’s Rebekah Klem was fifth in the 100 Breaststroke (1:08.08).
