A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown Township:

CANFIELD

Feb. 11

Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested Billy Evans, 51,of Nantucket Drive, Austintown, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia .

AUSTINTOWN

Feb. 6

Theft: A person who lives in a home in the 4000 block of Timbercreek Drive reported that $2,000 was fraudulently taken from an account.

Theft: Firearms and coins were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Woodmere Drive.

Recovered property: A wallet was returned to its owner at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police arrested Jessica Saunders, 34, Howland-Wilson Road, Bazetta, on an unspecified warrant out of Trumbull County and for theft of $212.68 in merchandise from Walmart.

Lost or stolen property: Medication was lost at or stolen from Walmart.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons Edward Thomas, 27, of South Schenley Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Feb. 7

Theft: Police issued summons to Lacina Steele, 24, of Layer Road, Leavittsburg, and Paula Ann Steele, 47, same address, on theft charges. Police accuse them of taking $113.45 in merchandise from Walmart.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Dennis Dyer, 61, of Flo Lor Drive, Youngstown, on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Warrant: Police arrested Joshua Weston, 36, of London Drive, Austintown, on warrants for charges of criminal trespassing and theft. Police accuse him of taking $132.96 in merchandise from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Feb. 8

Obstructing official business: Police arrested Jaleesa Thomas, 23, of South Portland Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of obstructing official business.

Theft: Police arrested Erica Stewart, 38, of Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown, on charges of theft and falsification at Walmart.

Feb. 9

Breaking and entering: A fenced-in lot was entered and vehicle rims were stolen from Shane’s Auto Sales, 3733 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested James Skok, 45, of New Road on a warrant for violation of a protection order.

Theft: Police arrested Emily Mahan, 28, of Pendleton Road, Leavittsburg, on a charges of possessing drug-abuse instruments, and Sheila Macaluso, 50, of Center South Road, Leavittsburg, on charges of theft and possessing criminal tools for theft of $505.98 in merchandise at Kmart. Macaluso was also arrested on a warrant out of Trumbull County.

Feb. 10

Theft: Employee theft was reported at Walmart.

Theft: Police arrested Genevieve Jennings, 31, of Portland Avenue, Youngstown, was arrested for theft of $103.09 in merchandise from Walmart.

Theft: An iPhone was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Starwick Court.

Theft: A payroll check was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Robert Frost Drive.

Violation of protection order: Police arrested Carlton Dyer, 31, of Trussit Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of violation of a protection order.

Feb. 11

Warrants: Police arrested Rhonda Jones, 52, of Winchester Avenue, Youngstown, on a charges of complicity and aiding and abetting, and Kenneth Ledinko, 60, of Winchester, on charges of theft, complicity and aiding and abetting in theft of $59.95 in merchandise from Kmart.

Theft: Basketball hoops were taken and mistaken for scraps at a home in the 5000 block of Stanford Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested Patrick Vinion, 32, of North Yorkshire Boulevard on a warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Criminal trespassing: Police arrested James Barfield, 43, of Winchester Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of criminal trespassing at Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from Family Dollar,4450 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Angel Donjuan, 24, of Willow Drive, Petersburg, on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They also arrested him on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Feb. 12

Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Christopher Hicks, 43, of Lynx, Ohio, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Theft: Patrons walked out on a bill for $24.37 at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West Drive.

Warrant: Police arrested Leonard Sanchez, 43, of Burkey Road on a Campbell court warrant for trafficking in cocaine.
