Closing arguments underway in trial of 2015 murder case

YOUNGSTOWN — Closing arguments are underway in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court in the aggravated murder and attempted murder trial of Jason Heard, 21.

Heard is one of three men accused of the Nov. 14, 2015, murder of Thomas Owens, 33, who was shot and killed while sitting in a parked car with three other men on East Myrtle Avenue.

Judge Lou D'Apolito is hearing the case.
